Clear communication and knowledge are important keys in assisting customers. Be clear with them by avoiding filler words like “um” or “hm”; if you are unaware of something, do not be afraid to let the customer know you will be back on the line with them shortly in hopes of receiving the needed answer from either your resources or management.

Efficiency. The more efficient you are in every call will allow for more customers to be helped throughout the work day. Work effectively and timely for appreciable service.

Following up with callers within a few business days is essential in order to ensure the customer has been taken care of. By doing so, you are also demonstrating great customer service skills on behalf of your business to the customer.

Use the most out of your resources, like emails, reminders, notifications and notes to give the most accurate information.
